This coming November I’ll be doing a bicycle ride from Jerusalem to Eilat in Israel. Why? Good question.

Wednesday 7th May. Israel turns 60. Big parties all over the country tonight. This morning i check out of my hostel and join Deb and her friend Amy for some snorkelling before heading back to Tel Aviv. We go to the beach near the Egyptian border where the coral and fish are prettier.

Monday 5th May. Arriving in Eilat at around 7am and having no clue as to where I was going to stay I ventured towards the large hotels by the waterside. Inquiring of a few the price of a room and flinching at the price of around $150-$200 per night I took a taxi towards the hostel area. Monday 5th May, 12.05am. Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. Lining up to purchase a ticket to Eilat. Thought about going first thing tomorrow after a sleep, but why wait. Go now and sleep on the bus.
