Wednesday 7th May. Israel turns 60. Big parties all over the country tonight. This morning i check out of my hostel and join Deb and her friend Amy for some snorkelling before heading back to Tel Aviv. We go to the beach near the Egyptian border where the coral and fish are prettier.

Monday 5th May, 12.05am. Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. Lining up to purchase a ticket to Eilat. Thought about going first thing tomorrow after a sleep, but why wait. Go now and sleep on the bus. I can’t believe we’ve been here for a week. It feels like ages ago we got here…at the most 7 days! Probably due to all the looking about and walking everywhere time goes slowly. Hummus does that to you…makes… you… slow… eh?
