Eilat of tourists.
Monday 5th May. Arriving in Eilat at around 7am and having no clue as to where I was going to stay I ventured towards the large hotels by the waterside. Inquiring of a few the price of a room and flinching at the price of around $150-$200 per night I took a taxi towards the hostel area. Finding a decently priced hostel ($30-$40 per night) and getting a room to myself I unloaded and crashed on the...

Journal of a bus ride of comedy.
Monday 5th May, 12.05am.
Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. Lining up to purchase a ticket to Eilat. Thought about going first thing tomorrow after a sleep, but why wait. Go now and sleep on the bus. The trip should take about 5 hours. A Mini-cab driver is hustling me from the sides with an offer of a seat on his bus. It will be faster and only have 10 people on board. I say no thanks. These minicab’s...

Alia goes bed shopping part 1.
Last week I went with aunty Alia to look at some beds for her. She is in need of a comfortable new matress as the one she has is too hard and hurts her. So the adventure has begun to find a new one. And what an adventure it is. The poor ladies at the bed shop having to keep a smile on their faces as aunty tried practically every bed in their shop. Almost 2 hours later and the verdict was all the beds...

A busy week coming up.
Sunday 4th May. I’ve just come back from Jerusalem after an afternoon door knocking various news networks looking for freelance editing work. It’s quiet in the holyland and unless something happens like war, a suicide bombing or something else quite savory, there is not a lot of news to be made!
I was going to go to Eilat tomorrow but decided to catch the midnight bus tonight so it gets...

Jewish personal ad of the week photo.
I’m not sure if she made a typo or she has high self esteem. Good on her I say.

Where would you rather be….Alicia?
Alicia Byrne gave me the short and curly on Melbournes current weather – It’sfucking freezing here with rain and hail. Therefore I thought I’d be a nice friend and rub it in how warm and sunny it is here.
So here goes.

Shira’s 25th birthday party.
I’m sort of reliving my youth here since I became friends with these girls, all of whom are in their mid 20s. Going out to crowded clubs and bars, dancing all night, doing shots, laughing, talking (loudly!), dancing and doing more shots. It’s fun although I didn’t touch a drop of alcohol last night. I was being a good boy, and was not tempted by these cute yet evil she-devils tempting...

What is it????
Passing a pet store last night I stopped suddenly to see this creature. At first I thought it was a rabbit, but then thought it could be a giant mouse. If anyone knows what this is please tell me! They sell them as pets. I assume it’s some sort of rock marsupial. It’s about the same size as a medium sized rabbit. Cute or scary?
