Save the Words!

I am now the proud parent of an adopted word. “Icasm” means figurative expression, as in “The President’s address was full of icasm, which probably means he didn’t understand it either” (written when Bush was in office I guess). You too can adopt a word at savethewords.org. The website is a fully interactive flash site where you browse a wall full of words I bet you didn’t use in your last office presentation or family chat over dinner. When you do adopt a word they send you a certificate of adoption, like what I have below. I’ve also adopted “squiriferous” : having the character or qualities of a gentleman.
