What’s a Gravatar?
A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from blog to blog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Avatars help identify your posts on web forums, so why not on blogs?
I use one and you see it with my posts. Yes, that smiling face to the left. When you post a link or comment on a blogsite with Gravatars enabled it automatically adds your photo which is linked to your email address. Upload your photo once and then that’s it. Let the word see what you look like when you flame that video of the kid home from the dentist.
