Pork buns here I come!!!
It’s my last day in Israel and tomorrow I fly to Hong Kong for a week. It’s been an awesome time here in Israel, as well as the surprise work trip to Greece and Turkey. I’ve seen a lot of Israel, met a lot of people, tasted a lot of food (a lot!!!) and got a tan. Won’t I look out of place back home!
Today going to the beach for a swim, a coffee and perhaps a good shakshooka. It will be missed. The sight of gorgeous women at the beach will be missed. WiFi everywhere and mostly free will be missed. Going out after 10pm any night of the week will be missed. Kids in army uniform carrying weapons will be missed. Meeting new poeple anywhere you go will be missed. Having various people call ME and invite ME out will be missed. Beautiful long curly hair on gorgeous Israeli women will be missed. Good coffee will be missed. Awesome felafel will be missed. The sight of 3 gorgeous girls showering at the beach will be missed. Turning into a dirty old man!!! I can get help for that!
Detox plan when I return home.
Getting a suntan will be missed. Walking a lot and catching good public transport will be missed. Being around 99.9% Jewish people will be missed. Having security guards check my bags and scan me at every door will NOT be missed. Being around crazy orthodox Jews will be missed.
Seriously.
So I leave here with wonderful memories and the hope that I return one day soon. Hopefully when it’s not full blown summer as it’s starting to get really hot and humid and I’m shvitzing like a roasted duck.

Dog friendly bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants will be missed.
Stray cats in the hundreds will NOT be missed.

Poor, sweet, homeless kitties. Be nice to them. The next time Cookie gets cranky about something I’m going to tell him to think about all the homeless cats in Israel and be grateful for what he has!
