More Magical Mykonos.
I’m really getting behind here so will have to hurry up with the updates. Here’s more from Mykonos.
Monday 9th June. In the evening Sarp and I set out to get a good feed followed by some socialising with the natives. The narrow streets are filled with people at cafes, restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. Any place with the a tv was tuned to the soccer.
The Greeks love their figurines with erections. Notice the penis with wings. Angelic.

The Scandinavian Bar and Disco. The waiter here is very good and funny.

After meeting some Aussie girls living in London but holidaying in Mykonos and sharing some drinks and a boogie we all called it a night only to find out the girls were staying right next door to us! Small island. The next morning we woke early and went for some breakfast followed by a swim at a nearby beach.
Fresh fish just caught are on display for sale. The cat under the table keeps guard.
Some kids find sea urchins. Good for eating aparently.
After lunch I say goodbye to Sarp as I ferry it back to Athens and he gets a plane to Crete. I was lucky to have someone to travel with as I think being on Santorini and Mykonos by myself would have been boring and lonely. Sounds like some people I know. You know who you are!!!
I try to get a nap on the ferry back to Athens.
Unable to sleep sitting up I venture to the floor infront of my seat. What room I have is enough to get some shut eye.
The sight of the legs of the lady in the seat infront of me scares me awake! I sit back up quickly! I can’t believe I took a photo of this!!!
On the back deck where the fresh air and sunshine is a welcome treat I meet some tourists from Denmark. They have a deck of Uno cards which is an invitation for me to sit with them to play for the next 4 hours.
A gliding seagul comes in for a chip, your watch, earrings or small children not tied down.
Once back in Athens and having met a nice couple from the USA I checked back in to the hostel I stayed at before going to the islands. The unfriendly atmosphere from the restaurants and shops in the area made me glad I was leaving the next morning.
The message I wrote and stuck up in the internet room at the hostel. The computers were riddled with virus and other nasties. Management were slow to react and comment. Hopefully my good deeds will save others who plug their cameras in and get stuffed!
