Soy Chicken.
Having been in Israel for over a month and a half now I’m missing foods other than hummus, felafel and anything else middle eastern. Craving a good asian meal I decided to prepare the Zetlin famous soy chicken. I had a fear that I would not be able to find dark soy sauce, after all, they don’t creamed corn here, nor lemon lime and bitters in bars. Luckily there is a few asian stores in Tel Aviv and I quickly found a good dark soy to use.
I told Cocka I was making dinner as it was the least I could give back after all the care she has given me since arriving. A look of slight concern crossed her face when I mentioned it would be chinese soy chicken. I told her to trust me. She told me she had it before, when she went to mums place in Netanya and her mother and grandmother would make chinese dishes.

Cocka takes her first bite while I wait for any choking.
Choking hazzards aside Cocka enjoys my cooking.
Cocka cleans up yet doesn’t request seconds. Leaves me happy as I want leftovers for the next 2 days!
