Taking a day off
Thursday 17th April. After my long walk around the Old City yesterday I wasn’t going to be doing much of the same today. Today is slow and easy.

This guy has the right idea. The sticker says “I love living in the city”
Getting out of the apartment at about 10am I headed down to Dizingoff Street for a slow walk past the shops and cafes. Scattered around the Avenues of Tel Aviv are these cute little coffee shops.

Dogs are welcome into most coffe shops and restaurants. I find this funny.
I headed down to the beach front walking past tall hotels like the Hilton and Sheraton.

This is the middle east. Cactus litter the beach front.
Bumping into Tal again in the afternoon we chilled out at a beach cafe/bar called La La Land. It is literally ON the beach with your chair legs buried into the sand. From here we sucked on a drink, chatted to some cute tourist chicks and watched the sun set over the horizon. It was a cool evening and not many people were out, but during summer the place is packed.

I’m the unshaved on on the left. I shaved the next morning.

Bar staff erect trees that light up at night. Cool.

Three Norweigians blocking out view of the sunset.

Sunset from Tel Aviv beach. See larger.
