Be’er Sheva and burp
Monday 28th April. Working with the ABC again. This time to cover a story in Be’er Sheva.
When you drive from Jerusalem to Be’er Sheva you do so going around the West Bank, thus avoiding any problems with Palestinians. What sort of problems? Oh you know, rock throwing, rocket attack, being shot at, that sort of thing. The drive takes about an hour and a half, given that our average speed was about 130kph. Along with Matt Brown the journo and Yoav the producer (and driver) we arived at the Golden Tupil Hotel in central Be’er Sheva. It’s a fairly nice hotel, part of a chain.

Once the story was cut, Yoav and David drove back to Jerusalem (probably at about 150kph) and sent the story back to Australia via sattelite. Ah, modern technology. I stayed the night in Be’er Sheva so i could get the bus to the Dead Sea the following morning.
Even Israel has the crappy late night tv game shows. Argh!
