Catching up with Francene
Tuesday 29th April. The swim at the Dead Sea was amazing, and once it became too busy I packed up and headed to the road to await the bus to Jerusalem.

Dead Sea trip
Tuesday 29th April. Waking up in Be’er Sheva after a good sleep in I checked out of the Golden Tulip and walked up to the bus station to get a bus to Ein Gedi on the shores of the Dead Sea. Doing some research online I found a website telling me all about the area. I was especially interested in their overly confident marketing hype. I’ve never seen so much sun!

New friends
Saturday 26th April. Caught up with Shira and Amit, a couple of locals who I met last week in a cafe. Being a tourist is great for making new friends. Guy Levy
Guy Levi is the son of my mums friend from school Etty. He’s a very talented musician. Last night, Saturday, he had a performance in a basement bar showcasing songs he wrote. He’s the only lead singer who plays the double bass I’ve ever met. If anyone can find me another I’ll give you my left over matzot!
